Reviews
Plenty of free parking, very few staff, of the 14 peopled tills only 4 were staffed, great produce, competitive, poor wine selection compared with pre Brexit, even a queue on self checkout.
Quite a large Asda , not the largest I've seen but plenty of space for a good range of products, due to the size it does stock products you wouldn't find in smaller stores.there are a few concessions inside and out . The clothing section takes around half of the upper floor. Staff are friendly, store is clean and well laid out
Clean, easy to get a full food shop here. Asda rewards are good that they have started doing especially if you have a blue light card too.
There never seems to be very many large trollies around lately, not sure where they’ve been pushed off to?
Fruit and veg selection isn’t that great they don’t seem to have much stock out the last few times I’ve been, but maybe that’s just been the time of day I’ve gone- straight after school morning run, so always end up nipping elsewhere, as the fruit doesn’t look like it would last very long.
Clothes selection for girls is good upstairs but for boys it’s pretty small and very limited.
Good selection of toys also upstairs if you have kids parties to go to there’s a good choice for gifts under £10, and a large home section which is quite nice to have a mooch around.
Click and collect done, but waited 30 minutes. On the sign it says to press the button, ready to collect, which I did, then wait and someone to bring your shopping. I waited 20 minutes and then found someone and asked were my shopping was, they brought to in 10 mins and apologised, saying I should ask after 5 mins, the sign should reflect the same. First time i have done this, not very good experience. Very cold morning and waiting 30 mins was not pleasant. Also resulted in being late for work. Warning to everyone, if you don't see anyone in 5 mins, go and find a driver and ask. No-one will come to you when you are sat waiting.
Very big and has a good range of homeware, toys, clothing etc.
The food selection is quite restrictive. Although there is lots of food in quantity the choice, especially the ethnic and world selections, is limited.
Staff can be very rude and there doesn't appear to be a culture of staff calling out or responding on other staffs rudeness and bad attitudes to customers.
Staff generally slovenly and lazy. Shelves empty of basic food stuff most of time. Pharmacy a total joke run by imbeciles who expect u to have done your shopping then wait a hour while your meds r made up !
So great I had to make a second review. very great supermarket, staff always pretty friendly, favourite asda by far. Staff at pizza counter are always friendly and really patient with me, with me having autism. Also bethany on the cigarette/vape counter was really friendly, and she was really quick and helpful.
Visited in the afternoon. The first time in about 18 months ..the store was dark dirty messy empty shelves in fresh section no milk out.. at all.. no staff around to ask.. tons of empty cardboard boxes on the floor and laid around.. really gone down hill looked like nobody cared.. it was awful won't be going again
This place is going down hill fast. The mens clothes section is a mess, underwear ripped open and quite bare. They won't open the changing rooms. So they lost our sale. Quite expensive including fuel.
Some staff are so rude. Just been in the store wanting to ask about rewards. An Asda staff member was stood at customer service with her uniform on quoting " ask me about asda rewards" when I asked she rudly replied "IM STOOD IN THE QUE WAITING TO BE SERVED" then why do you have your uniform on? Any other store do not allow this because of the look it has on customers. Baring in mind I had to wait behind her to be served while she's suppose to be starting her shift! ( she didn't leave the store afterwards and went to the staff area so assuming) Some staff in there are so rude! But..... the store in itself is pretty good. Has become a lot better over the years.
